Is your Twitter activity returning a decent profit?

If you’re a freelancer or sole trader, there’s a simple way to find out roughly how it’s working for you:

  • jot down the amount of time you spend Tweeting
  • ask new customers where they heard of you and why they chose you – which is information you should always ask for anyway
  • add up how much money you’ve made from Twitter-generated business
  • calculate your cost per sale
